Background

Friendly customer engagement, superior management consulting, innovative marketing, highly-developed recruitment skills, exemplary process and account management. Concepts key to delivering maximum-performance recruiting, they inform Prosper's history and operational model.

Founded in 2003 by Simon Ibson, Prosper Consulting was a natural progression for someone so grounded in binding effective marketing with the principles of the recruitment industry.

"My goal has always been to gain as much commercial and recruitment knowledge and experience as possible, combining it all to develop the innovative solutions Prosper now offers," Simon comments.

Prior to formally entering recruitment (first with Michael Page, then venturing into senior search and selection then outsourced projects and assessment centre project management at Norman Broadbent) Simon's marketing and account management experience proved to be of great benefit to the consumer-led, international blue-chip brands with which he sharpened his early business skills.

In particular, working closely with Marks & Spencer for five years as a Peter Blacks supplier exposed Simon to the finer points of production, stock, distribution and merchandise planning with M&S buyers, selectors and merchandisers. This experience was to cement the values and work ethic that he holds true to this day.

This period saw Simon also working with Sara Lee, various start-ups, and some of the world's leading technology brands, experience of which naturally led to high expectations.

"Working with start-ups, venture capital and investor-backed high-growth companies, along with some of the world's leading technology and consumer brands, means best practice and cutting-edge innovation is ingrained in our culture."

Simon's personable yet thorough style, coupled with a passion for customer focus to which many satisfied clients will happily testify, is now amply reflected in Prosper's business and operational model.

A strong customer focus and conscientious style is reflected in all work undertaken by Prosper. In order to meet the anticipation such a varied professional background naturally stimulates, Simon sets out to obtain the very best skills and experience available, passing these on to customers and employees to create unbeatable customer service and value for money.

"We look to partner with customers and employees who mirror our own open-minded values and our strategic, solutions-driven working style," says Simon. "This produces great results and is truly satisfying, both for our clients and our own team. We all work closely together, focusing on shared goals and together resolving challenges.

"We seek a loyal customer base willing to stay with us long-term and to use us for all their recruitment-related projects."
